Diet woes

I have not been on a nutritional diet. I have been eating cake and ice cream and tons of crap! Let me tell you that not only do I feel soft, but my workouts are HARD! HARD HARD HARD! They hurt, my breathing sucks, I am tired! I CAN NOT stress enough proper nutrition! OMg I have slipped and I am getting back on my "train" I am going to sit down and work out a meal plan for this week and next week. I have seen an amazing difference in my body and I have felt incredible, but this past week or two I have not been on my game, and I feel it.
Today I ran the C25K week 4 with my friend Maria. On Sunday I ran that plus half of week 2 and I felt amazing! The past two days I have eaten nothing but crap.. seriously.. half a cake, a bunch of cupcakes, peanut butter cookies, loaded veggie pasta and a huge chocolate dessert. I did throw an apple in there! lol

Uptown took us out to dinner tonight and it was wonderful. It was Uptown and I with the three girls, and we went to a nice restaurant and I overloaded myself.. I mean I feel like I am going to get sick overloaded. I came home and did Ab ripperX. I needed it. So today I did week 4 and ab ripper. It doesn't even begin to touch my intake, but it is better than doing nothing I guess. Tomorrow is a new day, I'm ready for it!
Wish me luck.. with my sugar addiction it's going to be like day 1 all over again.

Spaghetti arms!!!!!!!

Tonight I didn't get to do my C25K run. MY youngest daughter Pax turned ! on Friday and we had our family party tonight. SO I came home and did a P90X workout. Jessica let me borrow a couple of her videos and one was chest shoulders and triceps. um WOW! I'm weak! lol I did the whole video though. I prefer cardio to the strength training, but I NEED the strength training! I NEED the leg and butt workouts! My arms have a nice definition to them, my legs? not so much. I still have a good amount of jiggle in my trunk too.
Tomorrow is a C25K day. I think we are on week 4, yeah week 4. I am curious as to whether we will throw in some of week 2. Either way I am excited about tomorrow, I am loving the running!

OK I need to go to bed. The children get dropped off early!

Let's hope that I can pick them up tomorrow.

and I raaaaan.. I ran all night and day

Today we ran week 4 of C25K. It was great! Cool Running is the site that has the break down of the C25K.
Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then:
  • Jog 1/4 mile (or 3 minutes)
  • Walk 1/8 mile (or 90 seconds)
  • Jog 1/2 mile (or 5 minutes)
  • Walk 1/4 mile (or 2-1/2 minutes)
  • Jog 1/4 mile (or 3 minutes)
  • Walk 1/8 mile (or 90 seconds)
  • Jog 1/2 mile (or 5 minutes)
 Then we followed it up with half of week 2

Brisk five-minute warmup walk. Then alternate 90 seconds of jogging and two minutes of walking for a total of 20 minutes.

oh but now reading this I realized that we did 90 seconds run 90 seconds walk. whatever it was a great workout!
I had planned on doing a Jillian workout as well, but then life happened. Grocery store runs and what not. Now I am off to bed. Still feeling great in my workout plans. ALthough I wish I could get my hands on the whole P90X DVD's. I'll have to sell a couple of slings, then I can buy it! lol

Week 3 Day 2

The week 3 runs n C25K seem a bit easy. It's only 18 minutes and it seems like a lot of walking, so today we followed it up with a week 2 run immediately after the week3.

So we did a 5 minute warm up brisk walk
90 second run, 90 second brisk walk
3 minute run, 3 minute walk
90 second run, 90 second walk
3minute run, 3 minute walk
then straight into
90 second run, 90 second walk
(repeat 6 times)

It was awesome! I love the C25K program!

Now I just need to squeeze in some Jillian and some weights. This whole homebuying loan process has me missing workouts!

Yesterday I started week 3 of Couch to 5K. It was great! This week was 5 minute warm up (brisk walk) run 90 seconds, brisk walk 90 seconds, run 3 minutes, walk 3 minutes, then do the cycle over again followed by a 5 minute cool down. Before I started I expected to go into it and come out gasping... and I didn't. I could have done more! I would have, except that I was running in a parking lot last night at 8:30 by myself and I didn't like being alone. So I jumped into my car and quickly left. I also downloaded an app for C25K for my phone so that I can listen to music and it will let me know when to run and when to walk. I am excited to try this! I have been neglecting Jillian, and I am afraid of the torture I will have to endure when I hang with her again. The other night I did cardioX and followed it up with Ab ripperX.. um yeah that was awesome!

Uptown and I are in the process of finding a house and buying. Right now we are going through the pre-approval process and it is time consuming and nerve wracking! So if I don't get my workouts in early, then I am having trouble getting them in before I start our financial stuff. SO I feel like I have been a slacker, but I have been doing at least one workout a night. So I guess I am still ok. I think today I will do a set of BFL workouts and if I get out of our meeting in time tonight I'll hang with Jillian.

breathe baby breathe

Day three running. Last night I did the couch to 5K run/walk with all of the kids. The two little girls in the double jogger and the two older kids running ahead of me or laughing at me behind me. lol The first day I went with a friend of mine to a trail that would through the woods. It was really nice. When I ran with the kids (day two) we ran at a park that had a good terrain, lots of up and down. Tonight I went to another friends house and we ran around her neighborhood and it was KILLER. Uphill and Downhill the entire way. My lungs were begging for mercy. I actually sweat a bit.

Last night I came home and the whole family was here so we got dinner ready andd a Jillian workout at 11 PM

Tonight we did the 2 mile run/walk thing and I am planning on doing a jillian, but I have some slings to finish up.

I am feeling great! Maybe some pictures for week 8 soon.

Also Summer if you are reading.. how do you stop the burning lungs? I feel like my lungs are constricting. Is it just conditioning? Does anyone know?

Adding to the insanity!

So tomorrow I am starting "couch to 5k" with a friend of mine.
I am going to continue to do Jillian Michaels as well.
I am curious to see if I will be able to move.
I am feeling like I am hitting a plateau. Possibly because I am not following my BFL diet to the letter.

So please wish me luck. I do not run well. I always have trouble breathing. Maybe if I do this slowly?

I am still hoping to get a hold of the P90X dvd's.. just to  up the torture factor a little bit.

Folks.. this is what happen when you have no social life to speak of.. you become addicted to working out!

Is there anybody out there?

Tangerine chipotle glazed tofu! mmmm

I had dinner at whole foods tonight.
Glazed tofu with quinoa and black beans, and a zucchini corn cake. Please realize that my 11 month old eats at least 1/4 of my food.

First et's talk about the glazed tofu.

HOLY TOFU!!!!!!! It was/is amazing! I bought a pound of it. I plan on eating it EVERY DAY! the glaze was a tangerine chipotle glaze. Oh it makes me sih a big heavy sigh and want to go heat some up. I need to learn how to cook. The guy at whole foods said it was Firm tofu marinated for about 3 hours then baked. I don't think I have ever baked tofu, you bet your ass I will be trying!
As for the workouts Jillian is using a lot of machines, and I have no machines! So I try to do the exercises without, and she is kicking my butt. Today was another pike crunch day. I love them and hate them! I really do love them, cause they make me hurt. I feel myself getting stronger.
Just a note to that one person that might be reading. No pictures on Sunday. I know it is week 8, but they won't happen until week 9. Due to cyclic problems.
Well it is midnight and the children get dropped off early!
I need to step up my diet and workouts!

Word of Caution

DO NOT EVER eat burger king, then do a Jillian Michaels workout!

Why was I eating Burger king? I had a CRAZY night and had not eaten since 5:30 It was 9:30 My head felt like it was going to explode I was so hungry. I still had bedtime to do and I just didn't have it in me to cook something. I caved. It was a veggie burger with some ff and a coupe of sips of sprite.. seriously  a couple of sips. I'm not a big soda gal.

I did day 11 of Jillian.
burger king + Jillian = wanting to vomit.

That is what I get. It is my punishment. I will NEVER do that again!
Today I did great on the diet aspect of my day until 9:30
Move on...
Tomorrow is a new day.
I'll throw a coupe of extra Myoples bars in my purse just in case.
I feel gross.
